Wendy Lynne Lee is Professor at the Bloomburg University of Pennsylvania, where she joined the Department of Philosophy following doctoral studies at Marquette University.
Author of numerous publications including "On Ecology and Aesthetic Experience: A Feminist Theory of Value and Praxis" and "The Aesthetic Appreciation of Nature, Scientific Objectivity, and the Standpoint of the Subjugated: Anthropocentrism Reimagined," Lee has established a name for herself as a champion spokesperson in the fields of ecological feminism and environmental philosophy.
Later this year Lee will be traveling to Romania for a second time to join The Philosophy of Pragmatism: Religious Premises, Moral Issues and Historical Impact proceedings at the University of Cluj-Napoca, where she will be presenting on the topic "The Relevance of Wittgenstein to Environmental Pragmatism: A Grammar for Revaluing Human-Centeredness."
Lee’s development of a "radically reconstructed, anthropocentrically focused ecological feminism," based on the claim that "while we cannot alter what is a fundamentally human consciousness, we can create the conditions for a radical change of consciousness" has led to her ongoing public dialogue with Professor Fred Bender at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, which will be presented in the upcoming EcoRes Forum.
The EcoRes Forum is delighted to welcome Professor Wendy Lynne Lee to the April E-Conference Panel of Experts and wishes to recognize her contributions in the fields of ecofeminism and feminist theory.
