David Rome is Managing Director of Program Initiatives at the Garrison Institute, a New York-based non-profit organization which works to address social issues via contemplative practices.
A recognized expert in spiritual activism, Rome formerly served as senior vice-president for planning at the not-for-profit Greyston Foundation in Yonkers, nationally recognized for its specialization in community development by providing housing and advancement opportunities for inner city homeless.
Rome’s work with the Garrison Institute includes an upcoming leadership retreat on climate change, taking place at the Hudson Valley facility over the Earth Day weekend.
